And the Numbers are:

by Chris Rossetti

Bradford and Warren's 96 combined points are the most in a game involving at least one d9 team since Clearfield and Huntingdon combined to score 102 in a state playoff game won by Huntingdon 68-34 in 1998 ... I believe it may be the most points scored in a regular season game since Clarion and Redbank combined to score 96 in a 64-32 Clarion win in '89 but there are some gaps on that one.

I have six games with a combined score of at least 90 since 1995 (missing some games from '98 as you know)

Nov. '98 -- 102: Huntingdon 68, Clearfield 34 (PIAA Class AAA 1st Round)
Nov. 4, 2005 -- 96: Bradford 54, Warren 42
Nov. 1, 2002 -- 92: Karns City 69, Moniteau 23 (D9 Class AA semifinals)
Oct. 19, 2001 -- 91: Karns City 77, Union 14
Oct. 8, 1999 -- 92: Union 54, Shannock Valley 38
Sept. 22, 1999 -- 91: Clarion 65, St. Marys 26
Oct. 98 -- 91: Brockway 63, Union 28

GAMES INVOLVING CLARION THAT HAD 90 OR MORE COMBINED POINTS (Able to do this since I have Clarion's all-time games)

1989 -- 96: Clarion 64, Redbank Valley 32
1966 -- 94: Clarion 54, East Brady 40
1952 -- 93: Skyesville 55, Clarion 38
1968 -- 90: Clarion 62, Union 28

Heck I have only found 15 games since 1995 involving a D9 team where the combined score has even reached 80 ... the latest before Friday night was earlier this season when Curwensville beat Kane 68-12 for a combined total of 80
