Mansfield University adds SPRINT football.
Sprint football is football for the average guy – same rules, same hard hitting but just faster because everyone on the team is 172 pounds or less. It is really an unique opportunity for that kid who has worked so hard so long and is considered too small by most college programs to continue career.
Mansfield will be the only public university in the nation to offer this opportunity and the company we will be keeping in the CSFL isn’t bad either. Cornell, Penn, Princeton, Army and Navy – not too shabby.
Mansfield hopes to have a coach on board sometime in December and will identify students on campus who want to play in the spring.
Mansfield is looking to recruit 35-40 players for the 2008 season. Stay tuned!
