TEXT play-by-play of the game

The site was Heartbreak Ridge. It was selected because of the capacity as an overflow crowd was expected for the backyard brawl. Pennsbury was not enthralled with the site, but they had played so many games over the years and it saved their fans the expense of traveling so they agreed.

Neshaminy scored early in the game as red hot Pete Cordelli completed his first pass of the game to Sroba for a 43-yard gain. Running backs Schupakus and Bruce Traney advanced the rock to the Falcon 8 yard line and then Cordelli found dependable Forchetti open for the TD. Forchetti added the extra point to give the Redskins a quick 7-0 lead.

The game went back and forth with no real scoring threats until Neky picked off a pass and raced 22 yards to give Neshaminy a 13-0 edge. Forchetti's PAT was fumbled by the holder on a low snap and 13-0 was the halftime score.

In the 3rd period Forchetti banged a 49-yard FG which was later answered by a Kutsmeda-to-Porter 9-yard pass and run touchdown getting the Falcons back in the contest, as they trailed 16-7.

In the 4th quarter, Forchetti did it again with his foot, booting a 36-yard FG. Pennsbury's Giordano kicked a FG of his own from 22 yards, but it was too little too late as the great Neshaminy team came up with the big plays to claim the inaugural Hal Wilson Challenge.
