Abington Heights
(7-0) knocked North Pocono (6-1) from the ranks of the unbeaten with a convincing 42-0 victory.  Abington limited NP to 75 yards of total offense.

Susquehanna (3-4) picked up win # 142 for coach Dick Bagnall with a 40-21 victory over Riverside (1-6).  Bagnall is now 1 win behind Jerry Wasilchak (Lakeland, 1965-1984) for #10 on the all-time Scranton Area coaching list.
 
Susquehanna was led by Anthony Dorunda (123 yards, 2 TD's rushing), Christopher Felter (124 yards, 1 TD rushing) and Ernest Taylor (91 yards, 1 TD rushing).    Susquehanna also scored ona 30 yard punt return by Dustin Shaw and Nick Ott caught a 12 yard TD pass from Dorunda.
 
Riverside scores: Joe Strok (62 yard INT return), Justin Paroby (4 and 14 yard runs).
 
Lakeland (5-2) eased by Scranton Prep (4-3) 28-17 to notch win # 300 in Lakeland football history. 
 
Lakeland was led by Craig Chopko (159 yards, 2 TD's rushing).   Lakeland also scored on a 22 yard pass from Anthony Besten to Drew Babcanec and on a 7 yard Besten run.
 
Prep scores: Steve Malinchak (2 TD runs - 10 and 33 yards) and Kurt Walsh (25 yard FG).
 
Lakeland leads the all-time series (17-11)
 
West Scranton (5-2) cruised by Wallenapupack (1-6) 54-7.  West was led by Tom Ogonowski (192 yards, 3 TD's rushing).  Ogonowski scored on runs of 20, 3 and 8 yards).
 
Other West scores: Anthony Monacelli (11 yard run), Asa Lucas (75 yard pass from Matt McGloin), Ryan Wilczak (48 yard fumble return) and Pat Baresse (8 and 13 yard runs)
 
'Paupack score: Zach Hopkins (6 yard run).
 
West leads the all-time series 6-2.
 
Dunmore (3-4) shutout Western Wayne (0-7) 26-0.  Gatlin Garrett led Dunmore with 108 yards and 2 TD's rushing (4 and 2 yards).
 
Other Dunmore scores: Pat Hart (1 yard run) and Kevin Spager (19 yard run).
 
Dunmore leads the all-time series 8-0.
 
Dunmore coach Jack Henzes picked up win # 292 of his career.

Old Forge (5-2) knocked off Mid-Valley (4-3) 26-12.   Old Forge was led by Brandon Gatto (180 yards and 1 TD rushing - 33 yard run).

 
Other Old Forge scores: Mike Doran (12 and 40 yard runs) and Mike Bilski (1 yard fumble return).
 
Mid-Valley scores: Frank Capoocia (43 yard pass from Ryan Rempe) and Kyle Chuff (20 yard pass from Rempe).
 
Carbondale (4-3) kept Montrose (0-6) winless with a 44-16 win.  Zach Lasavage led Carbondale with 123 yards and 3 TD's rushing.  Lasavage scored on runs of 1, 12 and 6 yards.
 
Other Carbondale scores: Lance Gabriel (24 yard pass from Frank Brenzel), Andrew Torch (28 yard pass from Lasavage) and Marc Canzano (4 yard run).
 
Montrose scores: Jared Fowler (58 yard run) and Jamie Hoffman (1 yard run).
 
Lackawanna Trail (5-2) defeated Bishop O'Hara (5-2) 14-0.  The win was the 9th straight for Trail over O'Hara.  Trail was led by Josh Dixon (97 yards, 1 TD rushing - 4 yard run) and Colin Dwyer (1 yard TD run).
 
Trail outgained O'Hara 254 to 93 in total yards.
 
Trail leads the all-time series 26-6-1.
Scranton (4-2) beat Valley View (3-4) 42-32.   Scranton Was led by Kawon Shell (247 yards rushing with 4 TD runs).  Shell scored on runs of 1, 15, 3 and 17 yards.
 
Scranton's A.J. McKenna also threw for 220 yards with 1 TD pass to Karrington Grissett (82 yards).
 
Scranton's other TD: McKenna scored on a 1 yard run.
 
Valley View scores: Kyle Passeri (213 yards rushing with 2 TD runs - 1 and 38 yards), Jeff Kushmerick (65 yard run), Pat Sotak (43 yard FG), Nick Westley (28 yard pass from Dave Karwaski).
 
Valley View still leads the all-time series 9-4.
 
Note: Scranton High was formed by merging Scranton Tech and Scranton Central in 1991.  Valley View was 39-4-1 against both schools with Central accounting for 3 of the losses.
 
Delaware Valley (7-0) beat Honesdale (2-5) 48-3.  Kenny Domzalski rushed for 4 TD's for DV (19, 12, 6 and 35 yard runs).
 
Other DV scores: Joe Stauder (84 yard KO return), Richie Hearon (42 yard INT return) and Joe Stauder (57 yard TD catch from Josh Navitsky).
 
Honesdale: 21 yard FG by Kevin Chapla.
