This week's notes:  Robert Bennie of Stroudsburg and Joe Clouse of East Stroudsburg North both went over 1,000 rushing for the season in the same game.  Josh Wing of Bangor now has 18 touchdowns for the season and is one behind the school record of 19.  Mike Smith in 1997 and Scott Lavalva in both 2008 and 2009 had 19 touchdowns in a season for Bangor.  Dylan Evans of Pen Argyl is now in 26th place on the all-area rushing list with 3,550 yards.  Brendan Nosovitch is now in 29th with 3,458 yards.  Bennie of Stroudsburg jumped a whopping 21 spots to 66th all-time.  He went by such names as San Diego Charger Maurice Schleicher (NL), Nick Hosford (NL), Clayton "Skimmer" Andrews (Leh), Phil Hard (North), Jim Evanko (Naz), Jess Kulp (SL), Vince Quigg (Park), Eddie Scipio (Beca), Eric Fiore (White), Matt Potter (Naz), Dave Muffley (Leh), Walt Konek (Palm), Lyle Kares (SV), Mark Weaver (Sal), Chris Infante (PMW), Josh Snyder (NW), Devin Malarchik (Cat), Brian Hahn (Pali), Brad Walters (NL), Chris Siracuse (Palm) and Percy Alexander (PME).  Evans is now tied for 7th place all-time in the area with Tosh Riddick of Dieruff and Eddie Sipio of Beca with 66 career td's.  Nosovitch is tied with Chuck Dibilio of Nazareth for 19th place with 57 career td's.
Rob Dvoracek of Parkland now leads the area with 20 td's,  Evans of Pen Argyl, Okezie Alozie of Freedom and Wing of Bangor all have 18 td's.  Tied at 15 td's each are Rob Getz of Pleasant Valley (failed to score vs ESS), Paul Martin of Marian Catholic (did not play) and Andrew Harris of Whitehall.
Daniel Harding of Nazareth is now the schools single season passing leader with 2,291 yards. He has 152 completions (school record) in 216 attempts (70%).  Tom Silvius held the old record when he threw for 2,084 yards in his junior year (1987).  He completed 124 passes in 254 attempts (still a school record) for a 49% completion ratio.  Harding now has 20 td passes this year tying his school record 20 td's he threw last year.  He went over 4,000 yards for his career (4,104) and now has 40 career td passes.  Sophomore AJ Long of Pius X went over 2,000 yards passing this year (2,044) and leads the region with 24 td passes.  He now has 52 td passes and is currently tied for 12th place all-time in the area with his head coach Phil Stambaugh.  Ty Edmond of Southern Lehigh needs 2 more td passes to break the school record of 28 held by Corey Sroka (2006-09).  QB Josh Agosto of Lehighton is now the schools all-time passing leader for yardage.  Agosto has thrown for 2,664 yards in his career topping the old mark of 2,629 yards that Terry Woginrich set from 1966-68.  Junior Jeff Kriziak threw for a school record 4 td passes in a loss against Lehighton last week.  The late Jon Mangual (2007), Rich Adams (2008) and Kriziak last year all had 3 td passes in a game.  Kriziak already owns school records for attempts and completions for both single season and career.
Kevin Gulyas of Central Catholic is closing in on several State records.  Gulyas's District 11 career records are now at 195 catches for 3,310 yards and 40 td catches.  Don Patrick of Hazleton Area holds the State record for receiving yards with 3,542 yards set from 1997-99.  Patrick signed with Pitt but was stuck behind 2 future NFL players (Larry Fitzgerald and Antonio Bryant).  He transferred to Bloomsburg and caught 67 passes for 1,072 yards and 12 td's in 2 years.  Carmen Connolly of Seton-La Salle (2002-05) holds the State record for receptions for a career with 221.  Connolly who's cousin is NFL quarterback Bruce Gradkowski went to West Virginia but caught only 1 pass for 3 yards as a 4 year player.  Gulyas may already have the State record for td catches.  No official total or player is in the record books.  The highest official total I found so far is 35 td's.  Raki Nelson of Bishop McDevitt (Harrisburg) had 35 career td catches between 1992-95.  Nelson went on to play 4 years at Notre Dame and had 67 catches for 1,101 yards and 3 td's.  Matt Camilletti of Pius X now has 160 career receptions and Rob Getz of Pleasant Valley now has 100 career receptions.  Adam Bridgeforth of Nazareth now has 54 receptions for 833 yards this season.  Justin Kondikoff holds both school records with  58 receptions for 1,014 yards set in 1996 in his junior year.  He's tied with Chris Garr (1986-88) for the most td catches at Nazareth for a career with 12.  Marquis Harp of East Sroudsburg South broke the schools single game reception yardage record with 177 yards against Pleasant Valley.  Doug Ogden (2003) and Dan Cason (2009) each had 173 yards in a game.
