Bishop O'Hara (4-1) beat Carbondale (3-3) 28-6 as Sean McGowan rushed for 104
yards and Jim Histed added 97 yards and 2 TD's on the ground. Mike Masko
chipped in with 94 more yards and 2 TD's rushing for O'Hara.
Dunmore (6-0) led 53-0 at the half in their 59-7 win over Western Wayne
(0-6). Gatlin Garrett led Dunmore with 4 TD runs (81 yards rushing).
Scranton (4-2) won the Battle of the Bell in a 34-20 victory over West
Scranton (3-3). Scranton was led by Kawon Shell's 100 yards rushing (2 TD's).
Dan Scherle added 161 yards and 1 TD passing for Scranton.
Valley View (3-3) eased by Wallenpaupack (2-4) behind Kyle Passeri's 161 yards
and 4 TD's rushing. Rich Palazzi led 'Paupack with 202 yards and 3 TD's
passing. Phil Mertine caught 176 yards of Palazzi's total.
Riverside (4-2) shutout Scranton Prep (0-6) 55-0. Joe Klebon led Riverside
with 151 yards and 2 TD's rushing.
Abington Heights (5-1) took control of Lackawanna Division 1 with a 21-13 win
over Delaware Valley (5-1). Dave Keisling led Abington with 94 yards
rushing, 129 yards passing (3 TD's).
Josh Navitsky led DV with 153 yards and 1 TD passing.
Lakeland (5-1) kept Mid-Valley (1-5) in check in their 49-0 win. Craig Chopko
led Lakeland with 122 yards and 2 TD's rushing. Anthony Beston added 132
yards and 3 TD's passing to the victors cause.
Honesdale (2-4) beat North Pocono (1-5) 41-28. Ben Rosa led Honesdale with
247 yards and 5 TD's rushing. North Pocono still leads the all-time series
10-4 but is just 1-4 in the last 5 meetings.
Old Forge (4-2) shutout Montrose (3-3) 31-0. Mike Cusumano led the Blue
Devils with 142 yards and 2 TD's passing.
Lackawanna Trail (3-3) snapped a 3 game losing skid with a 28-7 win over
Susquehanna (1-5). Trail was led by Richard Fricke (51 yards and 2 TD's
rushing plus 139 yards and 1 TD in the air).
