Bubba Carter's District TWO Report

Week 5

Bishop O'Hara (3-1) knocked off Western Wayne (0-5) 41-14 behind Sean McGowan (119 yards, 2 TD's rushing) and James Histed (100 yards and 2 TD's passing).  O'Hara Coach Allen "Butch" Keller picked up win # 196 in his 33 year career.  O'Hara now leads the all-time series 14-13. 

Lakeland (4-1) beat Carbondale (3-2) 30-14 as Randy Nichols led the Chiefs with 135 yards and 2 TD's rushing.  Lakeland outgained Carbondale 416 to 177 in total yards.  Lakeland now leads the series 24-5-1.
 
West Scranton (3-2) eased by Wallenpaupack (2-3) 22-14 behind Matt McGloin's 271 yards and 3 TD's in the air.   C.J. Passeri chipped in with 103 yards receiving (1 TD) for West.  Richard Palazzi threw for 322 yards and 1 TD in a losing effort.  Phil Mertine caught 120 yards of Palazzi's.
 
Dunmore (5-0) used a big 4th quarter to beat Lackawanna Trail (2-3) 42-28.  The Bucks coach Jack Henzes picked up win # 298.   Dunmore was led by Michael Perry (94 yards, 2 TD's rushing) and Miller Holmes (228 yards and 3 TD's passing). 
 
Scranton (3-2) picked up a 33-7 victory over North Pocono (1-4).  Scranton was led by Dan Scherle (129 yards, 3 TD's passing), Michael Weeks chipped in with a 65 yard punt return and 2 TD catches.
 
Delaware Valley (5-0) exploded for a 52-20 win over Honesdale.  Hank Neuroter led DV with 107 yards and 3 TD's rushing.  DV led 31-7 at the half.  Josh Navitsky threw for 159 yards in a winning effort.
 
Abington Heights (4-1) pulled away in a 37-18 victory over Valley View (2-3).  The Comets were led by Nick Pasqualichio (115 yards, 1 TD rushing), Joe Diskin (83 yard punt return and a TD catch).  Kyle Passeri rushed for 156 yards and 2 TD's for Valley View.
 
Mid-Valley (1-4) squeeked by Susquehanna (1-4) 21-18 as Kyle Chuff (250 yards and 3 TD's rushing) led the way.  This was Mid-Valley's 7th straight win over Susquehanna.
 
Montrose (3-2) picked up a 42-20 win over Scranton Prep (0-5).  Montrose's Taylor Smith led the way with 170 yards rushing.  Matt Rader (76 yards) and Rob Evans (77 yards) both return kickoffs in a losing cause.
 
Riverside (3-2) beat arch-rival Old Forge (3-2) 28-24 on a Justin Paroby to Rich Rossi 24 yard TD pass with 16 seconds remaining in the game.  Rossi led Riverside with 62 yards and 1 TD rushing and 41 yards and the 1 TD receiving.
