Note: PFN and committee make our annual selections based partially upon head coaches' nominations, scouting services input, contributor input, and our own personal observations. We have relied upon the MaxPreps stats primarily. But we also used our own Keystone Club. Unfortunately, there are head coaches who choose to not nominate their players nor use MaxPreps. Thus, some excellent players may have been by-passed. We have named three teams and an honorable mention for each classification. We have also initiated a 'Special Teams' category to recognize those who contribute on KO and punt returns most especially or those who are 'head hunters.'

PFN continues to honor our athletes. We encourage all head football coaches to use MaxPreps. If you don't promote PA high school football, who will?

*Since Curtis Drake only played offense and returns, he was moved to offense, making Derrick Burns, the defensive players of the year. Sorry for any confusion, but we talked to committee and wanted to make this all as correct as possible.
