At the conclusion of the 189 consy bout between Kevin Suhey of State College and Craig Cline of Haverford, Haverford coach Jim Jones shared a moment with Kevin telling him thsa he (Jones) played football with Kevin's grandfather - Steve Suhey. Suhey won the bout 11-2.
Rumor around the arena was that former Lock Haven State College 3-time NCAA Champion Gray Simons retired from coaching at Old Dominion.
