The Town of Marion, VA and Marion Senior High School is currently looking to fill five spots for the 2008 Brutal Clash Dual Team Tournament. This tournament is a Varsity High School event sanctioned by the VHSL and NFHSA. We are an AA school with a solid history in our wrestling program.  This will be held Dec. 19-20, 2008 using six mats and two gyms.  There is no entry fee and we will provide your hotel accommodations (5 rooms/ 1 night).  Tournament has commitments from teams in VA, NC, KY, TN, PA and WV.  We have expanded from 18 teams to 24 teams for the 2008 season.  Teams will receive 4 matches day 1 and up to 5 on second day.  Each team that enters receives custom participation metals up to 20 wrestlers per team.  Tournament is divided into three divisions based on seeding after first day pools (6 pools of 4 plus bonus match).  Second day divisions are Brutal Division (Championship top 8 teams), Bruiser Division, and Hard Knocks Division (bottom 8 teams).  Each division places out with awards to top four teams with championship belts to each division team champion.  This looks to be a great tournament with great fan fair and outstanding tournament sponsorships.  If you’re a team that can travel and are looking for a great holiday tournament…this is it.  For more information please contact Coach Hunter Trivette (huntertrivette@scsb.org) serious inquiries only please.
