LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

Thank-you for posting the PIAA results for us wrestling fans who cannot make the trip to Hershey. I thoroughly enjoyed following the 2000
results last year and will be at my computer often over the next 3 days.
Again, thank-you.
Allen Keim

I was unable to make the trip to Hershey this year, but I will catch as much as possible on the net and the radio coverage on line.  Thank you for all of
the work that has gone into making this possible, and for the work that  you do in Hershey.  The sport of wrestling is never given the credit it deserves
with the exception of its' own fans.  People like yourselves help our quest in spreading the good news about our sport.
Thanks again.
Jim Born

It's great to be at work and keep up with the PIAA wrestling results. Again, thanks for the opportunity to check on the results during the day
for those of us who can't get to Hershey.

Keep up the good work!!!  I live in Utah and I think it's great that I can follow the tournament as the matches take place.

Rich and Tom! What an absolutely outstanding job over the internet doing this for the people of PA. I'm proud to be associated with you two workaholics! Tremendous coverage! (See you Saturday!)

Just wanted to say that you are doing a great job of covering the matches.  I am in Tucson, AZ and am following my nephew's AA matches every way that I possibly can get them online.  You have really done a great job of  posting quickly. Keep up the great work as there are many, like myself,  who are out of state but like to keep up on wrestling in PA, the very best high school wrestling in the country.

Rich,
This site showing the results, bout by bout, is terrific!!!  In addition to showing the information, it has an excellent format, which makes it easy to find where things are! Thank you,
Harold Winshel

Hello Gentlemen,
Thank you so much for the live wrestling updates from Hershey!  I am following the action to see how my nephew's doing (he's Dustin
Manotti, AA, from Mifflinburg at 145 lbs.)

Thanks again.

Thank you for providing these results.  The addition of pictures is a nice touch, also.

Think you are doing a fantastic job. Could you possibly list radio stations covering the wrestling next year?

Great, thanks. I covered four tournaments for the paper in Hanover so I know how crazy things can get up there. You are getting a lot of hits from me
alone. I was just dying to see if Mayfield could last six against Hartrum (Idoubted it - Hartrum is very, very impressive.)
Thanks again. Keeping a fan in withdrawal alive.

WHAT A GREAT JOB YOU DO ON KEEPING US POSTED ON THE WRESTLING SCORES.  WHERE WE LIVE, YOU CANNOT GET IT ON THE RADIO AT ALL.  I AM AT MY COMPUTER ALL OF THE TIME DURING STATES SO I CAN GET THE UPDATES FROM YOUR WONDERFUL SITE.
THANK YOU SO MUCH.

Congratulations to Tom Elling on his induction into the pa. wrestling hall of fame. Tom was my jr. high coach at Lock Haven High, in 1969 &1970. I still remember the confidence he instilled in me  back then, and I know now that, Tom has been a major reason that I have been successful in my adult life. thank you Mr. Elling, you deserve it.
your friend, Clinton County Commissioner Dan Vilello.

Thank you for your outstanding efforts.  It is really great knowing this far in advance which wrestlers I'll see in this afternoon's and tonight's finals on PCN.  I can picture the exciting wrestling at Hershey just by reading the scores of the  crucial bouts and quick falls that you posted.
Congratulations to all the wrestlers and a special good luck to the 5 District One wrestlers in tonight's finals.  Thanks again.

Rich;
Congratulations to you and Tom for the outstanding job in bringing to all wrestling fans your bout by bout results.
I have been watching your website since Thursday.  And I just finished watching the AA finals on TV.
From one Lock Haven grad to two others, great work!  High school sports are the very best!

Mike Mannion

Thank you so much! A great way to keep updated!
Sincerely, Dean and Theresa Christman

Rich , Frank U. couldn't make states this year thanks for the info you provided .Great job keep up the good work

Rich,

I've heard a rumor that the PIAA is thinking of eliminating the regional format and making the States a 32-man format. PLEASE don't do this.  I speak for many by saying that Hershey is way too far to travel, which is why I have never been to the states.  I'm from Clearfield and we have enjoyed the regionals for 30+ years.
It's bad enough that the PIAA won't consider putting the states in State College - the geographical center of the state! - we don't need them to eliminate a traditional hot spot of wrestling and for many of us the only opportunity to see state-caliber wrestling.
I hope you will forward this to someone who matters.  I truly believe that this move would alienate a lot of fans in a sport which needs all the support it can get.  I hope this rumor is not true.....

Tremendous website!

Rich and Tom,

I wanted to drop the two of you a note commending your excellent coverage of this year's PIAA tournament trail.  I've recently relocated to Florida and could not make the annual trip to Hershey.  The combination of your in-session bracket updates & WJPA's radio coverage made me feel as though I was sitting in the Hersheypark Arena.
Thank-you and keep up the great work!

Hi Rich   Tom Vaux here.     Wanted to get around to saying hello at States, but we were both tied up all the time.   Just want to say I think you (and
Tom) are doing a great job on your reporting.   I don't know where you guys get the time, patience, and energy, but I wanted to let you know that
there are zillions of us that appreciate it.

Thanks for taking the time to keep wrestling fans informed that live in the Philadelphia area where wrestling is relegated to page 10 of the sports page and then only coverage of District I wrestlers.
A suggestion for next year...perhaps a one click look at all 13 championship final results rather than having to go through 13 brackets.  It would save time.  Thanks again.
An old Cheltenham wrestling coach,

Charles Stamm

Great job keeping the world informed about the matches. I live out of state so your efforts are most appreciated. Thank you
